These are considered as epithelial tumors generally caused by infection by HPV (human papilloma virus). In this kind of warts, HPV types 1, 2, 4, 60, or 63 but unfortunately it has also been caused by types 57, 65, 66, and 156. These types are visible symptoms only. This virus is visible on skin clearly through direct contact, entering through possibly tiny cuts and almost in the outermost layer of skin. After infection affected, these may not become visible for several weeks or months. It is only because of unbearable pressure on the sole of the foot or finger. A plantar wart can be painful if left untreated.

Treatment is required:  Before proceeding for a treatment, gradually these tend to go away by themselves, and later on no scarring occurs.  For another case only we look forward for a number of treatments that have been found to be effective. Consider a Microwave treatment that involves a low level application relates to microwave energy to induce an anti-HPV immune response.

  • There is a Laser surgery It is generally a most expensive and painful treatment. But it is necessary for large and hard to cure warts as soon as possible. Similarly Immunotherapy is a new treatment introduced for the prevention of warts. It is strongly recommended to host developing healthy immune system to treat a virus accordingly.
  • Similarly Salicylic acidis another best treatment that involves the removing away of dead surface skin cells with keratolytic chemicals such as salicylic acid or Tri chloro acetic acid. These are available in higher concentrations only .This treatment is carried out if and if only under the supervision of a doctor only.
  • Simultaneously there is another treatment called Formic acid. It is a common treatment for this kind of wart removal which works by being applied for a period of time.

Hence plantar warts are usually self limited. But there should be a recommended treatment which is essential to lessen symptoms that may include pain. It even reduces duration, and transmission.  Hence remember that genetics plays an important role in determining susceptibility.
